We provide rigorous assessment of teaching and learning. We will work with teachers to improve teaching and learning by:

• Improving the quality of classroom teaching in both primary and secondary schools

• Ensuring senior and middle leaders understand how to observe lessons and provide constructive feedback

• Developing effective lesson planning

• Developing quality monitoring strategies for teaching and learning

• Strengthen practice in marking and Assessment, and ensure that staff make effective use of pupil performance data to raise attainment
• Developing peer coaching
